This calculator models the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) performance of a scientific camera under homogeneous monochromatic
illumination. Enter your illumination parameters (wavelength, photon flux density, exposure time) and camera specifications
(pixel pitch, quantum efficiency, read noise, dark current, full well capacity, and binning) in the My Camera panel, then
click Calculate Result to compute and log results. Logged results can be exported as a CSV file using Download Result Table,
and PCO camera presets can be applied using Apply PCO Camera Specifications. Use Clear Data Log to remove previous results.
Please Note: Calculations are performed in units of electrons. Conversion to digital gray levels requires
the camera gain and offset, which are provided in the camera specifications.

INFO: Press "APPLY PCO CAMERA SPECIFICATIONS" to transfer "PCO Reference Camera" characteristics
from the repective datasheet to the "My Camera" input terminal. Data accuracy is in accordance
with industry standards. All values are given on the basis of currently available information
and may change without prior notice. Camera data is provided without liability - please verify
values with respective camera data sheet if necessary.
Any quantum efficiency value displayed considers protective sensor glass already
and is obtained through interpolation of raw data and updates automatically when
wavelength or the PCO reference model is changed. Some camera specifications
depend on the respective operational modes. Hence, respective options are also provided
in the dropdown list. Alternative modes for certain PCO cameras include Fast- / Medium-
/ SlowScan, Global- or Rolling Shutter (GS / RS), and Low-Light Mode (LLM).
