Raven Sight
Thermal Raven is a MWIR/LWIR vehicle sight allowing for sighting and targeting within an armored turret. Incorporating a x8 magnified visible optic channel, a thermal channel or image intensified channel and a unity direct view optic, Raven provides the gunner or commander the ability to detect, recognize and identify targets in day or night. Having been in service for over 20 years Raven has proven performance. The latest generation takes legacy hardware and upgrades the sensors and capabilities to provide a modern day solution without the need for a full system/turret replacement.
Primarily designed as a vehicle sighting solution, Thermal Raven can be retrofitted to existing turrets replacing legacy sights with a modern, improved variant. It can be integrated within a modern battle management system providing imagery and data which can be moved around the vehicle as required.
To aid 24/7 hunter/killer capability Thermal Raven uses either the latest Long Wave Infrared (LWIR) or Medium Wave Infrared (MWIR) thermal imaging technology. The latest generation of VGA and full HD sensors provide exceptional image quality and resolution to allow the detection, recognition and identification of targets in total darkness or dirty battlefield conditions.
The thermal channel offers a continuous zoom capability which can be configured to the user's requirements; it can operate as a fast change dual, multiple field of view or continuous zoom as required.
The day sight element consists of our proven x8 magnified day optics to give excellent resolution during daylight hours. Day and thermal imagery is viewed through the integrated eyepiece with the thermal imagery also relayed to an external ruggedized display. An integrated laser range finder option is also available.
