Excelitas Introduces New Additions to its pco.pixelfly CLHS Camera Family for High-Resolution Scientific and Industrial Imaging

New 50, 68 and 105 megapixel cameras combine scientific-grade image quality, high-speed acquisition and global shutter imaging for demanding inspection and metrology applications

pco.pixelfly CLHS CameraExcelitas®, the leading provider of advanced, life-enriching technologies that make a difference, serving global market leaders in the MedTech, Life Sciences, Advanced Industrial, next-generation Semiconductor and Avionics end markets, introduces the newest additions to its pco.pixelfly™ CLHS industrial cameras. Designed for demanding scientific and industrial imaging applications, the new cameras combine resolutions up to 105 megapixels with high-speed image acquisition, global shutter imaging and reliable, high-bandwidth CLHS data transfer.

This camera family now also includes the pco.pixelfly 50 bi CLHS, pco.pixelfly 68 bi CLHS and pco.pixelfly 105 bi CLHS, based on the Sony IMX927 series. The common platform allows customers to select the resolution and configuration that best match their imaging requirements, integration needs and budget.

These cameras capture fine detail across large fields of view, helping equipment manufacturers and system integrators increase inspection throughput while maintaining measurement accuracy. Global shutter technology eliminates motion distortion when imaging moving objects, while high sensitivity, low noise and excellent dynamic range support reliable, reproducible measurements.

The pco.pixelfly CLHS cameras are designed for applications including semiconductor and wafer inspection, metrology, flat panel display inspection, electronics manufacturing, automated optical inspection, life science instrumentation, digital pathology and large-area machine vision. The CLHS interface enables continuous transfer of large image datasets to support demanding acquisition and analysis workflows.

Key features of the camera family include:

  • Resolutions of 50, 68 and 105 megapixels: Capture detailed images across large fields of view.
  • High-speed imaging tailored to application and budget requirements: Supports higher inspection throughput and accurate imaging of rapidly changing processes with an optimized price-performance ratio.
  • Global shutter imaging: Eliminates motion distortion for accurate measurements of moving objects.
  • Scientific-grade image quality: PCO camera technology combined with the newest SONY Pregius sensors combine high sensitivity, low noise and excellent dynamic range.
  • CLHS high-bandwidth interface: Enables reliable, continuous transfer of large image datasets.

“The pco.pixelfly CLHS family gives equipment manufacturers and system integrators the image detail and acquisition performance needed for demanding inspection and measurement tasks. Multiple resolutions allow customers to select a configuration that fits their application and integration requirements,” said Alexander Grünig, Director, Camera Systems at Excelitas.

The new cameras will be on display at Vision 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany, October 6-8, 2026. For more information about the pco.pixelfly CLHS camera family, please visit https://www.excelitas.com/product-category/industrial-cameras.
