Excelitas Technologies to Showcase Fluorescence Illumination and High-Speed Camera Solutions for Scientific Research at Cell Bio 2024

WHO:   Excelitas Technologies® Corp., the leading provider of advanced, life-enriching technologies that make a difference, serving global market leaders in the life sciences, advanced industrial, next-generation semiconductor, aerospace and defense end markets, will feature its X-Cite® fluorescence illumination and PCO® camera technologies for scientific research applications at Cell Bio 2024 booth #339. X-Cite is recognized as the industry standard in fluorescence microscopy, while PCO offers cutting-edge sCMOS and high-speed cameras.

WHAT:  During the joint event with the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) and European Molecular Biology Organization, Excelitas experts will showcase the following X-Cite and PCO solutions—all designed to increase sample life, provide a brighter signal/noise ratio, and improve imaging data:

  • pco.edge 10 bi CLHS sCMOS Camera: The next-level pco.edge 10 bi CLHS sCMOS camera delivers exceptional imaging performance for microscopy, life science and physical science applications. With a back-illuminated image sensor, the pco.edge 10 bi CLHS comes with a quantum efficiency of up to 85% with broad spectrum out to NIR. The sensor incorporates microlenses and a full-pixel height deep trench isolation for suppressing crosstalk and achieving excellent modulation transfer function for highest image quality. The camera features an attractive low readout noise of 0.8 e- and a large diagonal of 23 mm by using a high-resolution 10.5 MPixel image sensor with a square pixel size of 4.6 μm.
  • X-Cite XYLIS™ II Broad Spectrum LED Illumination System: A true arc lamp replacement for routine and advanced fluorescence imaging applications, XYLIS II delivers the benefits of LEDs without compromising on price, flexibility or performance. The product features significantly quieter operation and increased optical output, with the broadest spectrum available in a white light LED for fluorescence microscopy. It also surpasses traditional arc lamps for brightness, offering an ideal option for both compound and stereomicroscopes. To overcome the LED green gap from the 500 nm to 600 nm region of the spectrum, XYLIS II incorporates Excelitas’ patented, award-winning LaserLED Hybrid Drive®.
  • X-Cite NOVEM™ 9-Channel LED Illumination System: The award-winning X-Cite NOVEM is Excelitas’ next-generation LED light source, delivering the brightest and most powerful LED illumination ever. The nine-channel, fast-switching system includes spectral coverage from Fura-2 all the way to IR800. Leveraging Excelitas’ patented LaserLED Hybrid Drive, NOVEM effortlessly fills the green gap in the challenging 500 nm to 600 nm range. It also features high excitation power for fluorescence applications across the UV-visible-NIR spectrum.
