Excelitas to Showcase X-Cite Fluorescence Illumination and PCO sCMOS Camera Solutions at ELMI 2026

WHAT: Microscopy and life science research products at Excelitas Booth #13 include:
- pco.edge 9.4 bi CLHS Scientific CMOS Camera: The pco.edge 9.4 is Excelitas’ first sCMOS camera with photon counting capabilities for challenging and demanding microscope methods including Lightsheet Fluorescence Microscopy (LSFM), Structured Illumination Microscopy (SIM) and hyperspectral imaging. The camera combines ultra-low readout noise of 0.3 e⁻ and quantum efficiency up to 85% with a broad spectrum out to NIR. It is equipped with a Camera Link HS fiber-optic interface capable of transmitting up to 4.9 GByte/s.
- pco.pixelfly™10 bi CLHS high-performance Camera: Delivering high performance in a compact, air-cooled housing, pco.pixelfly 10 bi CLHS is ideal for microscopy, fluorescence and live-cell imaging applications. The camera captures fine detail across a 23 mm sensor diagonal at full 4416 × 2368-pixel resolution and up to 57 frames per second for accurate visualization of fast processes and dynamic events. Available with either a monochrome or color sensor, it provides outstanding sensitivity in space-constrained environments.
- X-Cite TETREM™ 4-Channel LED Illumination System: Engineered to cover the four key spectral bands required to excite the most popular dyes used in fluorescence microscopy, X-Cite TETREM offers a compact and cost-effective choice for researchers performing live cell imaging or upgrading from a lamp-based system for routine applications.
- X-Cite NOVEM™ 9-Channel LED Illumination System: The award-winning X-Cite NOVEM delivers Excelitas’ brightest and most powerful LED Illumination ever. It leverages Excelitas’ patented, award-winning LaserLED Hybrid Drive® to effortlessly fill the green gap in the challenging 500nm – 600nm range and features high excitation power for fluorescence applications across the UV-visible-NIR spectrum.
- X-Cite XYLIS™ II Broad Spectrum LED Illumination System: With powerful output and coverage from DAPI to Cy7 excitation, X-Cite XYLIS II is the broadest spectrum available in a white light LED for fluorescence microscopy. It surpasses traditional arc lamps for brightness, making it ideal for both compound and stereomicroscopes. In addition to incorporating LaserLED Hybrid Drive technology to overcome the LED green gap, its whisper-quiet operation enables researchers to enjoy the benefits of LEDs without compromising price, flexibility or performance.
- Instant Co-Localization for Dual-Fluorescence Emission Demonstration: This live demonstration highlights high-resolution, real-time imaging of biological samples with two distinct biomarkers, each stained with different fluorescent dyes. The X-Cite TETREM 4-Channel LED Illumination System is used to excite the biomarkers through separate color channels, which are split by an akrima λ2 image splitter and captured by the pco.edge 9.4bi CLHS sCMOS Camera. This innovative setup operates at up to 122 frames per second to produce two 4-megapixel images side by side in a single exposure, which are controlled and displayed as co-localization images by Visitron VisiView® software.
