Compensating the Finest Glass Tolerances with Melt-Fit
This article is in German only. Whether in consumer electronics, industry or science, achieving the highest image quality and optical measurement accuracy requires tighter control over glass tolerances than standard manufacturing can provide. While software-based corrections can compensate for certain image defects, such as vignetting and distortion, these approaches have systematic limitations and lead to increased image noise or reduced image resolution.
