Excelitas Technologies to Showcase Photonics, Imaging Innovations at BiOS Expo and Photonics West 2024
WHO: Excelitas Technologies® Corp., a leading industrial technology manufacturer focused on delivering innovative, market-driven photonic solutions, will display and demonstrate its latest high-performance photonics offerings at SPIE BiOS Expo and SPIE Photonics West 2024. Excelitas will also present a session at the BiOS Expo.
WHAT: The following products will be demonstrated in the Excelitas booth at both conferences:
- pco.edge 10 bi CLHS: The pco.edge 10 bi CLHS is a next-level sCMOS camera designed to deliver exceptional imaging performance suitable for microscopy, life science and physical science applications. With a back-illuminated image sensor, the pco.edge 10 bi CLHS comes with a quantum efficiency of up to 85% with broad spectrum out to NIR.
- pco.pixelfly™ 1.3 SWIR: The Excelitas pco.pixelfly 1.3 SWIR is a high-performance machine vision camera due to its special InGaAs image sensor that is sensitive in the shortwave infrared (SWIR), near infrared and visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum. It shows a favorably high sensitivity in the whole spectral range with up to 90 % in the shortwave infrared band.
- X-Cite® XYLIS™ II Broad Spectrum LED Illumination System: X-Cite XYLIS II is a true arc lamp replacement for routine and advanced fluorescence imaging applications. This system offers several improvements including sound levels 10dB quieter than the original XYLIS and increased optical output with the broadest spectrum available in a white light LED for fluorescence microscopy.
- High-Speed SS-OCT Tunable Laser Engines: Excelitas' line of Axsun Swept-Source OCT Lasers provide an unrivaled balance of tuning bandwidth, output power, sweep speed and coherence length to enable cutting-edge performance in next-generation Optical Coherence Tomography systems. A unique design based on its micro-optical integration capabilities and patented MEMS tunable filter, the highly scalable Axsun laser platform is the preferred choice for OCT system vendors in multiple medical and non-medical markets.

- TPiS 1T 1386 L5.5 H CaliPile®: Featuring high temperature accuracy, combined with configurable “threshold” functions and low power consumption during operation, the TPiS 1T1386 L5.5H offers an ideal solution for medical-grade temperature measurement requirements.
- TPG3AD1S09 – 905 nm Triple-Cavity 225 μm SMD PLD: The Excelitas Generation 3 TPG3AD1S09 Pulsed Laser Diode is a high-efficiency 905 nm edge-emitting laser diode in an SMD package. The TPG3AD1S09 features a power slope of 3 W/A and enhanced output power of 120 W when operated at 40 A, extending the detection range to enable applications of tomorrow.
- Low-Light-Level Detection Modules: From single photons to mW, from 400nm to 1.7µm, the Excelitas family of Low-Light-Level Detection (L3D) Modules offers industry-leading performance in compact, easy-to-use packages operating from a single 5V DC power supply. The L3D Modules are ideal for laboratory and OEM use in supporting applications including astronomy, flow cytometry, particle characterization, quantum cryptography, wind LiDAR and many more.
- Optem® FUSION Micro-Imaging System: Optem FUSION Micro-Imaging Lens System is the next generation of precision micro-imaging lens systems. A modular design and infinity corrected optics afford maximum versatility in machine vision, automated optical inspection and non-contact metrology. Available in manual or motorized 7:1 and 12:1 zoom and economical fixed magnification, change out modules to modify system form, function and performance.
