Excelitas to Highlight PCO High-Performance Cameras and X-Cite Fluorescence Illumination Solutions for Life Science and Materials Research at MAF 2026
WHO: Excelitas®, the leading provider of advanced, life-enriching technologies that make a difference, serving global market leaders in the life sciences, advanced industrial, next-generation semiconductor and avionics sectors, will showcase its PCO® sCMOS and CLHS cameras, and X-Cite® fluorescence illumination systems at the Methods and Applications in Fluorescence (MAF) 2026.
WHAT: Fluorescence illumination and imaging technologies on display at Booth #4 include:
- pco.pixelfly™10 bi CLHS high-performance Camera: Ideal for microscopy, fluorescence and live-cell imaging applications, the pco.pixelfly 10 bi CLHS delivers high performance in a compact, fan-cooled housing. The camera captures fine detail across a 23 mm image circle at full 4416 × 2368-pixel resolution and up to 57 frames per second for accurate visualization of fast processes and dynamic events. It also provides outstanding sensitivity in space-constrained environments. The camera is available with either a monochrome or color sensor.
- pco.edge 9.4 bi CLHS Scientific CMOS Camera: The pco.edge 9.4 bi CLHS is Excelitas’ first sCMOS camera with photon quantity resolving capabilities for challenging and demanding microscopy methods including Lightsheet Fluorescence Microscopy (LSFM), Structured Illumination Microscopy (SIM) and Hyperspectral Imaging. The camera combines ultra-low readout noise of 0.3 e⁻ and quantum efficiency up to 85% with a broad spectrum out to NIR. It is equipped with a Camera Link HS fiber-optic interface capable of transmitting up to 4.9 GByte/s.
- X-Cite XYLIS™ II Broad Spectrum LED Illumination System: Offering powerful output and coverage from DAPI to Cy7 excitation, X-Cite XYLIS II is the broadest spectrum available in a white light LED for fluorescence microscopy. It surpasses traditional arc lamps for brightness, making it ideal for both compound and stereomicroscopes. In addition to incorporating LaserLED Hybrid Drive® technology to overcome the LED green gap, its whisper-quiet operation enables researchers to enjoy the benefits of LEDs without compromising price, flexibility or performance.
- X-Cite TETREM™ 4-Channel LED Illumination System: Engineered to cover the four key spectral bands required to excite the most popular dyes used in fluorescence microscopy, X-Cite TETREM offers a compact and cost-effective choice for researchers performing live cell imaging or upgrading from a lamp-based system for routine applications.
