Excelitas to Highlight Latest X-Cite Fluorescence Illumination Systems and PCO Cameras at the AACR Annual Meeting 2025

- NEW X-Cite TETREM™ LED Light Source for Fluorescence Microscopy: Offering high power for routine imaging applications, TETREM is an accessible, budget-friendly solution for fluorescence microscopy laboratories. The four-channel, switchable light guide-coupled LED light source uses Excelitas’ new smartDIAL™ control interface, enabling researchers to intuitively and easily control multiple channels manually via an easy-to-read display featuring advanced controls.
- NEW X-Cite Vitae™ vIRX Illumination Platform: Designed to allow streamlined OEM integration, the Vitae vIRX presents enhanced capabilities for high-precision medical illumination and diagnostic applications such as endoscopy and surgical visualization, as well as high-speed analytical applications including slide scanning and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The fully customizable, multi-wavelength illumination platform enables high optical output with support for up to seven wavelengths including NIR. It easily replaces 180W or 300W Xenon sources while offering state of the art capabilities.
- X-Cite NOVEM™ Powerful, 9-Channel LED Illumination System: The award-winning NOVEM offers high-power LED illumination for unmatched brightness and spectral coverage of fluorescence applications in biomedical imaging. Key attributes include a nine-wavelength, fast-switching system spanning Fura-2 to IR800; patented LaserLED Hybrid Drive® technology to seamlessly bridge the 500 nm – 600 nm range green gap; high excitation power across UV-visible-NIR spectrum for optimal fluorescence imaging; and four configuration options with pre-installed clean-up filters for enhanced flexibility.
- NEW pco.edge 9.4 bi CLHS sCMOS Camera: Ideal for demanding microscope methods, the pco.edge 9.4 bi CLHS is Excelitas’ first sCMOS camera with photon counting sensitivity. It combines an extremely low readout noise of 0.3 e- with a quantum efficiency of up to 85% and a broad spectrum out to NIR. The camera’s sensor incorporates microlenses and a full pixel height deep trench isolation for crosstalk suppression, resulting in an excellent modulation transfer function. Additionally, it provides a large diagonal suitable for large field of view microscopes using a high-resolution 9.4MPixel image sensor with a square pixel size of 4.6µm and a fiberoptical Camera Link HS interface capable of transmitting up to 4.9 GByte/s.
- pco.pixelfly™ 1.3 SWIR Machine Vision Camera: The pco.pixelfly 1.3 SWIR features a special InGaAs image sensor that is IMX990-sensitive in the shortwave infrared (SWIR), near infrared and visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum. As a result, it shows a favorably high sensitivity in the whole spectral range with up to 90% in the shortwave infrared band. The small pixels enable the use of small magnification optics in microscopy and a low dark current delivering long exposure times for life science research and medical applications such as surgical microscope and in vivo imaging, in vivo microscopy and intravital microscopy.
