Excelitas Technologies to Highlight New Infrared Sensors and Lasers at Electronica

Who:

Excelitas Technologies® Corp., a global technology leader delivering innovative, customized photonic solutions, will showcase its latest infrared sensors and semiconductor lasers for industrial and consumer electronics at Electronica in Munich, Germany.

What:

New products on display at Excelitas’ exhibit (Hall B1, Booth #107) include:

  • New CaliPile Multi-Function Infrared Sensor: Representing a new range of intelligent IR sensor, CaliPile is uniquely designed to combine motion detection, presence detection and temperature measurement – all in one compact digital thermal infrared package. It features selectable frequency filters and levels that allow users to set the product into one of the three major operation modes, each of which can be set into individual use cases to achieve custom operations. Built with an integrated filter, CaliPile sensors can work without the need for additional lenses.
  • Low-Power DigiPyro® PYD 1500 Series Thermal Infrared Sensor: Now available in the full range of compact electronic packages (TO, TO Window) to deliver low-power battery operated motion detection, Excelitas’ new “Generation 2” DigiPyro PYD 1500 Series sensors improve detection range and sensitivity to address the growing demand for enhanced performance and functionality with reduced supply voltage requirements. PYD 1588 operates at 1.8V up to 3.3V with increased effective sensing range and faster activation for applications such as IP cameras and wireless intrusion alarms.
  • Surface Mount 905 nm Pulsed Semiconductor Lasers: Featuring an ultra-compact, surface mount-compatible design, these pulsed semiconductor lasers produce very high optical pulses centered at a wavelength of 905 nm. The patented, ultra-compact lasers can emit light either perpendicularly or in-parallel to the mounting plane to meet the demand for high-volume, cost-effective lasers for commercial applications ─ including LIDAR, time-of-flight (ToF), range finding, safety light curtains, adaptive cruise control and laser therapy.

When:

November 8 – 11, 2016

Where:

Messe München, Munich, Germany. Excelitas Exhibit: Hall B1, Booth #107.
