VIS-NIR-SWIR – Optical Challenges for Multispectral Imaging
Presenter
Arthur Stauder, Excelitas
Video Duration
20 Minutes

Overview

The field of possibilities and applications in the area of Machine Vision is constantly growing. New generation sensors and cameras enable “seeing” beyond the human visible area to ensure quality or to detect problem areas in the non-visual area.  As such, more options and applications in the near infrared (NIR) and short-wave infrared (SWIR) are becoming possible.

In order to fully utilize the VIS/NIR/SWIR sensors of modern camera systems and optimally enable new applications in the field of multispectral imaging, high-performance optics from specialized manufacturers are required. Excelitas offers various solutions from the classic LINOS® Machine Vision lenses to the OPTEM® Fusion microscope systems.
