Excelitas’ Excelitas Technologies Appoints Steven E. Boyce as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Excelitas Technologies, a global provider of innovative, customized optoelectronics to OEMs seeking high-performance technology solutions, announced today that Steven E. Boyce has joined the company as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. In this role, Mr. Boyce will oversee all legal matters relating to the company.

Prior to joining Excelitas, Mr. Boyce served as Senior Corporate Counsel for the Mobility Internet Technology Group within Cisco Systems, where he was the lead legal counsel for that business unit. Previously, Mr. Boyce also held senior leadership and general counsel positions at Getronics, the successor to Wang Laboratories, as well as Starent Networks, where he was instrumental in setting up the legal function in a pre- and post-IPO environment, along with working on global commercial deals with leading wireless service providers. During his career, he has also held senior positions at several highly regarded law firms including Hale and Dorr (now Wilmer Hale), Skadden, Arps, Meagher & Flom, Kirkland and Ellis, and Sheehan, Phinney, Bass & Green.

Mr. Boyce holds a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree from the University of Iowa and a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School.
