Company Triples Revenue and Headcount in 10 Years to Strengthen Position as an End-to-End Photonics Technology Leader
WALTHAM, Mass., December 2, 2020 – Excelitas Technologies® Corp., a global technology leader delivering innovative, customized photonic solutions, is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of its founding, and a decade of innovation and success. Since being established as an independent company spun out of Perkin Elmer in December 2010, Excelitas Technologies has enjoyed greater than three-fold growth in both revenue and headcount.
Growth occurred both organically and through an aggressive and selective acquisition strategy to add scale and scope, built upon Excelitas’ core photonics technology platforms and best-in-class operational excellence. Excelitas’ acquisitions – Carsan Engineering, Kaiser Systems, Qioptiq, Lumen Dynamics, Research Electro Optics (REO), Axsun Technologies, and most recently Solidtron – have helped create a unique single source of innovative, end-to-end photonic solutions for commercial OEMs, defense primes and government customers around the world.
