Session to Detail the Time Related Parameters for the Silicon Geiger Mode Avalanche Photodiode (APD) with Low K Factor

Excelitas’ Product Manager of Low-light-level Detection Solutions Bernicy Fong, Senior Member of Technical Staff, R&D Murray Davies, and Senior Technical Associate, R&D Pierre Deschamps will present the study of the time related parameters specifically for the Silicon Geiger mode APD with low ƙ factor. Time jitter and time walk can be affected by several factors. The data for temperature, operating voltage, wavelength of photons and light spot size are the focus of this study. When optimizing these parameters, there will be trade-offs for the desired performance. Understanding this APD’s behaviors will help end-users better employ the detector in some key single photon counting applications.
The “Time Jitter and Time Walk in SLiK APD” presentation will be included in the Nanoscience + Engineering Plenary Symposium during the Single Photon Detectors and Counters I Session 2 moderated by José Luis Pau Vizcaíno, Univ.
