Achromats VIS, Positive, Unmounted
LINOS® VIS Achromats deliver exceptional optical performance for demanding imaging and beam-shaping applications. These achromats are unmounted and consist of a convex crown-glass lens with low dispersion (low color separation) and a concave flint-glass lens with high dispersion. The design of these positive achromatic lenses minimizes both longitudinal chromatic and spherical aberrations, ensuring sharp, high-contrast imaging results. Precision-engineered cemented doublets with tight focal length tolerances and minimal wavefront distortion enable optimal focusing of laser beams and a wide range of imaging applications.
Our achromats are carefully optimized to minimize spherical aberration. They are ideal for monochromatic applications and for use at two selected wavelengths. Supplied unmounted, they can be easily incorporated into optical systems. A wide range of LINOS mounts, including numerous object holders, is readily available.
Our portfolio includes a broad selection of standard positive achromats in various diameters and focal lengths, as well as a negative achromat with a focal length of –50 mm. All achromats feature a broadband anti-reflection coating (ARB2 VIS) for maximum transmission and minimal reflection.
To support efficient optical design, ZEMAX files are provided for download. Each achromat includes detailed optical specifications, information on glass type, and precise tolerance data. This allows for reliable calculations in your optical systems.
