High Energy Laser Mirrors

High Energy Laser Mirrors

Excelitas offers high-energy laser mirrors that provide an unmatched combination of high laser damage threshold, ultra-low scatter, excellent wavefront performance, and rugged mechanical durability. With the use of proprietary superpolishing fabrication and precision Ion Beam Sputtered (IBS) technology, our high-energy laser mirrors are highly reflective and environmentally stable to meet the needs of demanding applications such as military targeting and range finding, industrial materials processing systems, intracavity laser use and high-energy research lasers.

Custom fabricated and coated, our high energy laser mirrors have typical specifications of 99.99% reflectivity, λ/20 flatness (at 633 nm), 10-5 surface quality, and scatter loss of  1 part per million at certain wavelengths. They are available in a wide range of sizes and shapes, typically 0.25" to 10" in diameter, and can be customized from virtually any substrate material, including fused silica, optical glasses, Zerodur and Pyrex. These mirrors are  designed primarily for use with pulsed, solid state lasers operating at 1064 nm, 532 nm and 355 nm, as well as for use with multi-spectral laser systems.
