Their narrow focal-length tolerances ensure consistent integration and reliable optical performance. These lenses are well-suited for applications requiring precise beam focusing, UV compatibility, and high-power operation. They offer a high damage threshold and dependable performance in demanding environments. Uncoated versions are ideal for broad-wavelength applications, as fused silica delivers higher transmission than standard optical glass.
