The S2000 Elite UV Curing System is equipped with OmniCure’s proprietary Closed-Loop Feedback and Intelli-lamp®technologies to automatically monitor and maintain system optical output for highest process quality. This system features a high-speed mechanical shutter with extremely fast 30 ms response time to ensure a precise dose for any application, every time. Equipped with advanced communication capabilities, manufacturers can effectively manage and monitor the S2000 Elite remotely to meet the changing demands of industry 4.0. The OmniCure S2000 Elite can be calibrated to maintain exposures set in peak irradiance (W/cm2) or optical power (W) when combined with an OmniCure R2000 radiometer. View video to learn more.

Original S2000 Compatibility

S2000 Elite enable existing OmniCure customers to facilitate an upgrade without modifying their processes. Using the same powerful 200-watt UV lamp, with outputs up to 30 W/cm2, the S2000 Elite offers identical:

  • Spectral output
  • Optical power (difference is dictated by lamp-to-lamp variations (+-10%))
  • Liquid and high-power fiber light guides
  • Selection of standard and custom optical filters
  • PLC connection (with optional External PLC Adapter)

Designed as a plug and play solution, the S2000 Elite can easily replace the legendary OmniCure S2000 XLA in a production line with little to no effort at all.

The new S2000 Elite can be a direct drop-in replacement for the original S2000 systems with PLC integration through the use of an optional External PLC Adapter. The PLC adaptor converts the S2000 Elite 50-pin expansion port into two DB15 signal ports and one DB9 signal, identical to the ports of the original S2000. Order details are as follows:

Closed-Loop Feedback

Over time, the output of all mercury lamps decreases, which left uncorrected can have a negative impact on curing efficiency. OmniCure S2000 Elite Closed-Loop Feedback technology includes an internal optical sensor to monitor lamp output in real time and adjust the iris to automatically maintain the irradiance level to within +/- 5% of the set point, ensuring repeatable and measurable doses of curing energy for increased yields and quality.

The S2000 Elite features an on-screen indicator, a light ring and an audible alarm that indicate when the lamp can no longer generate the set irradiance level. These warning signals eliminate the need to frequently check the irradiance level while also prolonging lamp lifetime.

Calibration with the OmniCure R2000 Radiometer offers real time display of irradiance on the S2000 Elite.

Web UI – Remote Control

Remote control, management and monitoring of single or multiple systems is available from almost any device through the WEB UI, expanding all of the options and features available from the system touchscreen to a larger laptop or tablet screen. The WEB UI enables the ability to run exposures, build and manage curing profiles, review and download system logs as well as download and push software updates to multiple units from the comfort of your office. Advanced control for troubleshooting is also available through the command line interface.

A new 4.3” LCD touch screen display provides easy access to all system functionality. The intuitive and easy to use UI makes it simple to access and navigate through system information settings and run screens.

StepCure® 2.0 with PLC Control Capability

The OmniCure S2000 Elite was designed with automation in mind. The built-in StepCure 2.0 software allows users to upload a customized multi-phase cure profile directly to the system, offering users greater cure control.

By providing integrated PLC controller functionality and offering up to 7 programmable PLC output channels through the ladder-logic based StepCure program, the OmniCure S2000 Elite helps to simplify and lower the cost of automating assembly lines.

30ms Precision Shutter

The lightning fast 30 ms shutter delivers a precise dosage to every single exposure for the most repeatable cure. With StepCure, the shutter enables precise exposures as low as 100 ms with minimal ramp-up and ramp-down times.

Calibration and Radiometry

Radiometry is an essential consideration for any repeatable curing process. Combine the OmniCure S2000 Elite with an OmniCure R2000 radiometer to measure and calibrate the light output, allowing cure profiles to be set in absolute peak irradiance (W/cm2) or optical power (W). The OmniCure R2000 radiometer requires calibration every 12 months (NIST traceable) and can be used to set the output of multiple S2000 Elite systems at the identical irradiance level.

Intelli-Tap NFC Communication

Intelli-TapTM Near-field Communication (NFC) enabled keycards enable users to reach the next level in process control. Two Intelli-Tap keycards are available, – Admin and Supervisor, each with their own set of functionalities to cater to specific process requirements. Order details are as follows:

Field Replaceable Lamp and Filter

Ideal for academic, development or laboratory applications, the OmniCure S2000 Elite can quickly be user reconfigured with a different optical band pass filter or lamp type.
