The XRSE High-Voltage Power Supply is a highly regulated power supply designed for use in an X-ray system. The supply provides high voltage for the X-ray tube, filament power and closed-loop emission current control. The unit is designed to run continuously at full output. High-frequency power conversion technology is used for all power supply functions. Extensive internal interlocks and diagnostics are incorporated to provide reliable and safe operation. Excelitas also designs and manufacturers complete X-ray sources under the Omniblock® brand, containing the X-ray tube, power supply and integrated cooling system.
- Many protective and safety features such as over voltage, over current, interlocks, over temperature and other features provide safe reliable operations.
- Emission current regulation is achieved through control of X-ray tube filament current. Available filament current is greater than 5 A into a 1 ohm load.
- Maximum emission current is 25.0 mA at full output voltage and 50 mA at -60 kV or less. The output power is limited by a regulating loop which limits the output power to a user defined amount up to 4.0 kW maximum
- Control of the power supply is performed by 12 V or 15 V interface signals supplied by the customer.
