C30733 InGaAs Avalanche Photodiodes Series

The C30773 Series combines various products of high-gain InGaAs Avalanche Photodiodes (APD) with 30 µm active area. Excelitas InGaAs APDs provide large quantum efficiency (QE), high responsivity and low noise in the spectral range between 1000 nm and 1700 nm. They are supplied in a hermetically sealed TO-18 package, or as FC/APC single mode fiber pigtail.

With its optimized performance up to 1650 nm the C30733 Series is perfectly suited for OTDR applications which perform out-of-band-live monitoring and testing. Its high gain of up to M=100 features precise detection of exteme low-light-levels with low noise generation due to intrinsic amplification. Equipped with an FC/APC connector, the diodes are easy to install in all fiber-based systems as Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR), and Distributed Optical Fiber Sensors (DOFS) for DTS, DAS and strain measurements.
