Excelitas Technologies to Present and Showcase New Detection and Sensing Innovations at Sensors Converge
MEDIA ADVISORY
WHO: Excelitas Technologies® Corp., a global technology leader delivering innovative, customized photonic solutions, will showcase its latest detection and sensing innovations at Sensors Converge. Excelitas Applications Engineer, Infrared Detection, Prometeusz Jasinski, Ph.D. will also present a Tech Talk entitled, “Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) with Pyroelectric Sensors.”
WHAT: Expert staff will be available in-person at Excelitas booth #1032 to discuss the company’s featured photonic technology, which includes:
- Generation 2 905 nm High-Volume Pulsed Semiconductor Laser Diode: Offered in the same cost efficient plastic TO package as generation 1 lasers, Excelitas’ generation 2 905 nm High-Volume Pulsed Semiconductor Laser Diode provides an increase of more than 20% in optical power for the same drive current. Featuring the same electrical characteristics as generation 1 lasers, generation 2 lasers can be dropped into existing circuits, providing more power and range. Alternatively, for battery-operated systems, the current consumption can be turned down while providing the same level of optical power, prolonging battery life while maintaining range performance.
- C30737MH Surface Mount Silicon Avalanche Photodiode (APD): Offered in a variety of active areas and optimized for either 800 nm or 900 nm, the Excelitas C30737MH APD product family is ideal for range finding or LiDAR system applications. Provided in a highly compact SMD package measuring only 1.75 x 2.00 mm, fully compatible with automated pick and place tools, the C30737MH is Excelitas’ smallest, most cost efficient Silicon APD offering.
- Surface Mount InGaAs PIN and Surface Mount InGaAs APD: Available in a highly compact ceramic SMD package with sealed window, Excelitas offers both InGaAs APDs and PINs, in a variety of active area diameters. These detectors are perfect for range finding or LiDAR applications requiring detection in the 850 nm - 1700 nm wavelength range, delivering high performance in a compact form factor.
- Optical Receivers C30659 and LLAM Families: Combining our high-performance Silicon and InGaAs APDs with discrete trans-impedance amplifiers (TIAs), these receivers provide the highest available level of performance with best-in-class noise performance for optical signal-to-noise ratio. The LLAM takes the high performance architecture of the C30659 family and brings it to the next level by adding a thermal electric cooler to further reduce the noise level.
WHEN: September 21 – September 23, 2021
EMI with Pyroelectric Sensors Session, September 21, 4:15 pm - 4:30 pm PDT
WHERE: San Jose McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, CA, Excelitas Booth #1032.
