Excelitas offers ambient light sensors that provide an easy solution for applications requiring a response similar to the human eye. Within this product family, we offer two types of devices: IR-filtered Silicon Photodiodes and IR-Filtered Silicon Phototransistors.

Excelitas offers a comprehensive range of Ambient Light Sensor products to enable their integration into various applications. These include the following:
- VTB1012BH - Si PD, TO-46, 1.6mm2, IR Filter - a silicon photodiode packed inside a hermetic TO-46 window package. It also comes with a built-in IR rejection filter, which allows it to limit its response into the visible portion of the spectrum while exhibiting a high shunt resistance and low dark current.
- VTB1013BH - Si PD, TO-46, 1.6mm2, Low Id - similar to the VTB1012BH that also comes with its own IR rejection filter in order to limit its response to the visible light spectrum.
- VTB6061CIEH - Si PD, TO-8, 37.7mm2 - its spectral response closely matches that of the human eye through its built-in filter. This silicon photodiode comes in a hermetic TO-8 flat window package.
- VTP9812FH - Si PD, T-1 ¾, 1.5mm2 - designed in a T1 ¾ flat package that blocks infrared light while also providing an excellent response to light in the visible range. It also has very high shunt resistance, low dark current, and low capacitance.
- VTT9812FH - Si Phototransistor, 0.192mm2 - similarly comes in an infrared-blocking T1 ¾ flat package and exhibits excellent responses to light in the visible range.
- VTT9814FH - Si Phototransistor, 0.192mm2, High Gain - rounding out the series is the VTT9814FH, which also comes in a T1 ¾ flat package that blocks the passage of infrared light. This phototransistor also responds well to the visible spectral range (450 to 700 nm).
