Golden 8 Infrared Emitters

Golden 8 Infrared Emitters

The Noblelight Golden 8 Infrared (IR) Emitters are made with high-quality quartz tubes and feature a gold reflector for highest efficiency. Their unique twin-tube layout, as its "Golden 8" reference suggests, results in higher radiation density and improved mechanical stability. Noblelight Golden 8 infrared emitters offer flexibility to choose the most suitable wavelength for heating materials, ensuring optimal results. As part of the Golden 8 series, our next generation of Medium-Wave Plus Emitters expand the power density and temperature range of traditional medium-wave emitters.

Noblelight Golden 8 infrared emitters are available in short-wave, medium-wave, and fast-response medium-wave options. The Golden 8 emitters can also be customized in size and filament type to meet your specific requirements. Furthermore, dimensions and filaments are fabricated to meet your specific requirements.

With a power density of up to 80 kW/m2, our Medium Wave Plus emitters are ideal for heat processes that require higher power density and/or high ambient temperature, such as plastic welding, metal processing, glass heating, printing and paper processes, and building material processing.

The Importance of Wavelength

Choosing the right emitter for your application is critical, as the wavelength significantly affects the heating process. Short-wave radiation can penetrate deeply into certain solid materials, ensuring uniform heating throughout. In contrast, medium-wave radiation is primarily absorbed by the outer surface of materials, mainly heating that surface. This type of radiation is particularly well absorbed by glass, plastic, and especially water, where it converts directly into heat.

Typical Applications

The emitter cross-section of a twin tube forms the shape of an eight with a golden reflector referred to as the Golden 8. Our Golden 8 represents all our twin tube emitters and is most typically the starting point for new solutions in heating processes. Golden 8 emitters are most suitable for drying wide fabrics or textiles, coating glass, wood, or metals, and pre-heating foils before laminating or embossing processes.

Golden 8 infrared emitters typically form the heart of an infrared booster which is used to augment existing drying systems and optimize production plants in a variety of applications.
