Your tasks

  • Lead and manage technical activities on site level for product transfers including production and qualification processes & technologies
  • Substantial collaboration with and support of transfer project manager in all technical aspects
  • Provide technical expertise together with site experts, define and monitor technical project scope
  • Evaluate existing production and qualification processes and propose improvement for scalability
  • Assessment of processes capability, tools & packaging for optimization potentials and ensure efficient change management
  • Initiate and lead technical gap analysis between different sites
  • Consider applicable regulatory requirements 
  • Initiate and monitor verification and validation of product and processes
  • Support business and R&D-management in tactical/strategic technical decisions (e.g. investment in equipment, decisions on transfer strategy)
  • Manage/maintain/ensure technical documentation 
  • Support supply chain management in new supplier selection

 

Required Qualifications

  • Successfully completed studies in Engineering or Physics
  • More than 8 years working experience in optical manufacturing industry
  • More than 3 years leadership experience
  • Detailed understanding of opto-mechanical systems
  • Must have ability to quickly and efficiently understand, condense and organize information necessary to make engineering decisions
  • Experience in dealing with foreign customers and partners
  • Excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in the understanding application of engineering models and theories, basic statistical techniques, improvement tools
  • Knowledge of product development processes, mechanical/optical design, testing and qualification methods
  • Ability to steer design to cost, re-usability and manufacturability
  • Self-starter with a high energy level and a high commitment
  • Willing and able to work in and lead a cross-functional team
  • Ability to use metrics to drive improvement and visualize results
  • Strong communications and presentation skills considering intercultural aspects
  • Ability to influence without authority, good negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with using Teamcenter NX preferred
  • Hands-on collaborative approach in implementation and maintaining operating disciplines
  • Willing to travel and work abroad
