Human Resources Generalist

Description

We are presently seeking an HR Generalist who will provide day-to-day support at the Miamisburg, Ohio site. This position reports to our HR Manager and is responsible for providing support and service to our employees to enable a positive and productive work environment to our growing organization.

Your responsibilities:

  • Facilitate SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System;
  • Research, resolve questions and perform tasks involving HRIS, payroll, time cards, benefits, leave of absences, performance management, recognition, etc.;
  • Assist with payroll processing, attendance tracking and recommend corrective action as needed;
  • Coordinate open enrollment;
  • Respond to human resources-related inquiries;
  • Understand compliance records management and maintain employee personnel records;
  • Update HRIS with employee changes and prepare reports as needed;
  • Assist in the recruitment process, setting up interviews, conducting background and reference checks and issues relevant correspondence;
  • Process termination paperwork and conduct exit interviews;
  • Schedule and conduct new hire orientation and training;
  • Participate in the Employee Activity Committee (EAC), engage employees with activities and monthly events to maintain a positive employee morale and company culture;
  • Administer service awards;
  • Process tuition reimbursement, rewards and recognitions;
  • Administer Workers’ Compensation paperwork;
  • Responsible for daily administrative tasks including verifications of employment, filing, faxing, copying and organizing departmental files;
  • Recommend best practices in HR;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field;
  • PHR certification a plus;
  • At least two years of relevant HR experience;
  • Experience with SAP and SuccessFactors Learning Management System highly desirable;
  • Experience with interviewing and general recruitment processes;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks;
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality;
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance;
  • Must be a team player;
  • This position requires use of information, which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR);
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for any position at Excelitas;
  • Please note due to the requirements from the Department of Energy, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
